International Affairs Directorateof Unmul, and Rare Aquatic Spesies Indonesia (RASI), an NGO that concern on mahakam area concervation held an international workshop at February, 21st-22nd, 2012 and located at Tropical Rainforest Research Center, Unmul. this is just a begining of a long-term joint research projects for the next 5 years.
It was initiated by Scientific Programme Indonesia-Netherlands (SPIN) within 2 principal participants, are Department of Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies of Radboud University, Nijmegen, the Netherlands and The Center for Population and Policy Studies (CPPS) Gadjah Mada University. Moreover, there are 12 other prospective participants including Mulawarman University, and potential links with Thailand and Philippines.
